All good things ...

This 1968 Rambler American four-door, VIN A8S050A724026, was built at the American Motors factory in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Norma, its first owner, took delivery from Pulcher's Motors of Hudson, N.Y., on March 18, 1968, and drove the car for many years. It passed through the hands of a couple in Valatie, N.Y., before I purchased it for $650 on March 2, 1988, with about 60,000 miles on the odometer.

On August 29, 2004, after 276,000 miles and 36 years of service, and having outlasted three cars that were supposed to replace it, the Rambler drove to its place of retirement. It never hurt me or left me stranded. It was a damn good car.

I hope you enjoy this short photo retrospective.
