Optima D31A deep-cycle battery
The battery that comes with the Element is pathetic and should be replaced immediately. I went with the Optima “yellow top” deep-cycle battery because the specs were so impressive, and I read a very helpful thread at Element Owners Club that explained how a Group Size 31 Optima can be shoehorned into the Element.
The D31A was not available at any local parts stores; I got mine from Remy Battery (remybattery.com).
