Always-On Rear Power Outlet


Behind the glovebox is a gang of relays. There's a slight difference between models with manual and automatic transmissions. Here's the configuration for 2003–06 model years (Figures 1, 2) and a list of what the relays control:

For MY 2010, the banks of large and small outlets are reversed (Figure 3)

To make the rear power outlet always hot, pull relay No. 3 and jumper the two fore connector slots (Figure 4). The two aft slots should be left alone.*

*Actually, they could be useful. One is switched +12V, the other ground. Just don't jumper them, or you'll blow a fuse.
